Constitution ceremony
If you have applied for Danish citizenship and are granted it, you must participate in a constitutional ceremony. At the constitution ceremony, you must sign a declaration that you will comply with the Constitution of the Kingdom of Denmark and respect basic Danish values and legal principles, including Danish democracy.

The next constitutional ceremony is on Tuesday 31 October from 14:16 to 1:XNUMX, and will be held at Hotel Sønderborg Strand, Strandvej XNUMX, 6400 Sønderborg.
The registration deadline is Tuesday 10 October 2023.

For the ceremony, simply bring photo identification.
- What type of ID can I bring to the constitutional ceremony?

Identification with photo must be one of the following:
- Residence card, alien passport, convention passport or driving license issued by a public authority in Denmark.
- Passport, identity card or driving license issued by a public authority in another EU/EEA member state or in Switzerland.
- Passport issued by a public authority in a country other than an EU/EEA member state or Switzerland, and in which a residence sticker is inserted.
