Day home for the elderly

Day care is an offer for you who live in Sønderborg Municipality and who need support for structure and meaningful activities in everyday life.

• You may need care and support support, which may be offered while you are in a day care home.
• You may have a desire to get help to maintain your physique and memory, and pleasant company with other elderly people.

We offer you activities and a little extra content in your everyday life.  

We have a total of 10 day homes distributed at each care center around the municipality. We are therefore sure that there is a day care center near you. As a rule, you can be searched at a day care center up to 2 days a week.

Who can I meet in day care?

Our day care center is for you who live in the immediate area. Here with us, you will be able to meet different elderly people in our day care home. It can be elderly people who live in the care center, and it can be people who are associated with our activity centres. 

You will also meet our employees in the day care center and our indispensable volunteers. 

What kind of activities are there at a day care center? 

AT our day care center we have many different activities and switch between activities within four areas:  
• That you keep your body moving 
• That you keep your head moving 
• That you get your senses stimulated 
• That you get social interaction. 

Examples of activities are movement, exercise, play groups such as could be pétanque or cards, outdoor activities, dancing, tinkering, seasonal activities, as well as cooking, making schnapps, etc.   

Our activities at the day care centers are of course dependent on wind and weather etc. 

Can I get transport to the day care center?

You can be searched to be transported to and from the day care centers against a personal payment

Can you get food and drink at the day care center?

At several of our day care centers, you have the opportunity to buy food or bring your own packed lunch. You can always contact the individual day care center for more information about your options for food and drink.
