Digital mail for businesses

All companies, associations and organizations with a CVR number must have a digital mailbox on Virk.dk.

The mailbox is mandatory and free of charge, as both Sønderborg Municipality and other public bodies communicate digitally. Letters such as sickness benefits, subsidy schemes regarding. job creation, permits, annual accounts, etc. are sent to the company's digital mailbox. 

How do I access my company's digital mailbox?

To be able to access the mailbox, you must use a MitID employee signature, which can be ordered at Nets-Danid.dk. The first three MitID employee signatures are free.

I can choose how the item is to be handled. Eg. whether you want to read the post on Virk.dk or whether it should be automatically forwarded to the company's own systems. It is also possible to receive a message by email or text message when new mail is received. Read more at Virk.dk.

Can my business be exempted from the digital mailbox?

A company can only be exempted if it is not possible to establish an Internet connection with a calculated downstream speed of at least 512 kbit / s (0,5Mbit / s) via landline or wireless for max. DKK 3.000 at the company's domicile address. 

If you want to request an exemption, it is important that you read first guidance on exemption for companies, associations and others with CVR number from Digital Post. 

The actual request for exemption from Digital Post must be made in person at Borgerservice. In order for the request to be processed, the form must Request for exemption from Digital Post for companies is filled out.
