The house Konkel

The primary group of young people at Huset Konkel needs to train skills in order to master everyday life as well as develop and train social skills. 
 
Young people who are actively addicted to alcohol or drugs cannot be searched at Huset Konkel.

Huset Konkel is located close to the forest and within walking distance to Gråsten center, where there are good shopping opportunities. There are good public transport links by bus and train.

How to live at Huset Konkel?

The rehabilitation training offer is spread over 3 floors with homes on the ground floor as well as on the 1st floor and staff office and laundry room in the basement. The physical framework consists of:

• 10 two-bedroom apartments with living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette
• 2 one-bedroom apartments with living room, bathroom and kitchenette
• Shared common / living room and kitchen on each floor
• Workshop and laundry room in the basement
• A larger outdoor area with terrace for shared use

How is everyday life at Huset Konkel?

In the community, it is supported that the young people can support and help each other with the skills they each have. The special thing about living at Huset Konkel is that you don't live completely alone, but that you can draw on the community's resources and strengths. 

The young people must contribute actively to all daily tasks. There is a focus on independence and responsibility for oneself and the community. The staff support and guide the young people in everyday life.  
 
The young people must be able to cope without support evening and night.  

The young people must be employed during the day during the week. It can be STU, group courses, work, internship, sheltered employment, etc.  

The staff group consists of educators.
