Junior master's apprenticeship at Nørreskov School

Junior master apprenticeship is for students in 8th and 9th grade who want a more practical education combined with a company internship.

Through junior master apprenticeships, students can gain insight into the everyday life of a company, acquire skills for further education, and become more clear about a future educational choice.

It is possible to register for Junior Master Apprenticeship in the school year 2025-2026 from May 7 to June 2 at 9.00:XNUMX a.m.

How often are junior master apprentice students in an internship or practical course?

Students in junior master apprenticeships are in a company internship or practical course two days a week (Tuesday and Thursday) and attend school at Nørreskov School three days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday).

The practical course is for students who have not made an agreement about a company internship. The course takes place at the Preparatory Basic Education (FGU) in Sønderborg. Here, the student will be introduced to different business areas.

This combination gives students the opportunity for a more practical end to their primary school education.

Does the student have to find a company internship themselves?

Yes. Internships take place in a company/workplace. Students/parents generally find an internship themselves.

Where does normal teaching take place when you are in junior master's apprenticeship?

The students are taught at Nørreskov School in Guderup 3 days a week. Students in junior master's apprenticeship attend classes together.

The students are taught Danish, mathematics, English and physics/chemistry. In addition, they have a lesson on classroom well-being every week.

The school day starts at 8.30:14.05 a.m. and ends at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.

  • achieve a grade point average of at least 2 in Danish and mathematics in the compulsory tests (oral Danish, written Danish and written mathematics)
  • conduct a final evaluation interview about the junior master apprenticeship

The primary school leaving exam with junior master's degree gives access to vocational education without EUX.

How does registration for junior master's apprenticeship work?
  1. Students/parents contact their own school and meet with the class teacher, UU supervisor and possibly PPR.

  2. Student/parents find a company internship (if this is not possible, the student can instead participate in the practical course at FGU).
  3. Nørreskov School invites students/parents to an enrollment interview in June.

  4. Once a meeting has been held at the school and it has been clarified whether it is possible to find an internship, you can register via the green link at the top of the page.

Which workplaces can you make agreements about internships with?

Internships take place in a company/workplace. This could be, for example, with a craftsman, in a shop, in agriculture, in a kindergarten, and the like.

An internship agreement is made, which must be approved by the headmaster at Nørreskov School.
