Order passport

If you need a new passport, you can order it online and show up in person at Citizen Service.

Order via the link above. Subsequently, you must appear in person at Citizen Service. This also applies to children.

What should I bring to Borgerservice?

Always remember to bring: 

  • Valid identification in the form of either:
    The current passport (if the last issued passport is not brought, a double fee is charged)
    Identity, birth or baptism certificate as well as driver's license or health card
  • Passport picture

For children under 18 years

To order passports for children under the age of 18, holders of parental rights MUST sign a declaration of consent, which must be completed in the self-service solution or brought along. In the case of joint custody, both parents do not have to be physically present.

Passport picture

You can choose a photographer and have a photo handed out or have a photo taken at Borgerservice in connection with the issuing of a passport. It is done digitally and costs DKK 130. The picture is not handed out, but saved electronically for the passport order.

Can I pick up my new passport outside normal opening hours?

If you need to pick up your passport in the document box in Sonderborg, there are the following opening hours:

Monday: 08.00 pm - 15.00 pm
Tuesday: 08.00 am - 18.00 pm
Wednesday: 08.00 am - 15.00 pm
Thursday: 08.00 pm - 18.00 pm
Friday: 08.00 am - 14.00 pm
