Parking spaces

On the map you will find an overview of most parking spaces in Sønderborg Municipality. You can see parking spaces reserved for the disabled as well as parking spaces for special vehicles such as electric cars, buses and trucks.

Can I park in a disabled space?

Everyone knows the symbol with the wheelchair. When painted in a parking lot, the sign means "parking card required". You can only stop and park here if you have a valid parking card - visible in the windscreen.

Where can I apply for a disabled parking card?

The EU parking card for the disabled is administered by the Danish Handicap Organizations' User Service on behalf of the Danish Transport Authority.

Can I park a promotional vehicle in the city?

Vehicles specially designed for advertising in urban areas shall not be parked.

Can I park my trailer or caravan (trailer) in the city?

Trailers (including caravans, trailers, etc.) with a permissible total weight of more than 2.000 kg may not be parked during the period at 19.00 pm - 07.00 am in urban areas.

Trailers (including caravans, trailers, etc.) with a permissible total weight of less than 2.000 kg may only be parked for up to 24 hours in urban zones.

Vehicles with a permissible total weight of more than 3.500 kg may in the period at 19.00 pm - 07.00 am only park where permitted by special markings in urban zones.
