PTSD (post traumatic stress syndrome)

In Sønderborg Municipality, you can get help from a PTSD coordinator if you have PTSD that did not arise in connection with war or fleeing war.

Are you affected by PTSD and would you like to have more overview, coherence and better well-being in everyday life?

Then you can get help from a PTSD coordinator - also in connection with jobs and education.

How does a course with a PTSD coordinator work?

You will receive support in coordinating and contacting relevant treatment and support services, as well as gaining knowledge about PTSD. The course gives you insight into signs of distress and early warning signs, and works with concrete tools to strengthen and maintain your well-being in everyday life. The goal is to increase your understanding of your own reactions and strengthen your ability to handle the challenges that may arise.

The course is individually planned and adapted to your needs. The offer is mainly indicative, and support can be provided in connection with interviews, for example at the job center, psychiatry or other relevant contexts.
