Public consultation – Convenience store at the Gate. Environmental impact report and draft Section 25 permit

On 30 April 2024, Sønderborg Municipality's Engineering, City and Housing Committee approved to issue an environmental impact report and draft Section 25 permit for the establishment and operation of a convenience store at Porten 2 in Sønderborg for public consultation.

The project entails the construction and operation of a new convenience store within the business area Porten, which is located west of Sønderborg town at the foot of the Alssund Bridge. The project also includes the construction of parking spaces, two pylons and the extension of an existing intersection on Aabenraavej/Alssundvej with a left-turn lane.

The project is listed on Annex 2 of the Environmental Assessment Act, point 10 b: Construction works in urban areas, including the construction of shopping centers and parking facilities.

According to section 35 of the Environmental Assessment Act, subsection 3, no. 3, the public and affected authorities must be consulted before the authority makes a decision on permission for the project in accordance with § 25 of the Act.

Sønderborg Municipality will send an environmental impact report and a draft Section 25 permit for consultation during the period 3 May 2024 to 28 June 2024. Any comments on the material should be sent to dihg@sonderborg.dk.
