Solar system at Lavensby. Hearing regarding delimitation of the content of the environmental reports

On 11 June 2024, Sønderborg Municipality's Technical, City and Housing Committee approved that a local plan and municipal plan supplement be drawn up for a solar cell plant at Lavensby in Nordborg, and that an environmental assessment of the project be made at the same time.

As a result, an environmental report for the plans and an environmental impact report for the project must be prepared in accordance with the Environmental Assessment Act. Before the two reports can be made, Sønderborg Municipality must define their content so that it is described how comprehensive and detailed the information in the reports must be.

Sønderborg Municipality sends drafts for delineation of the content of the environmental report and the environmental impact report and relevant annexes for consultation during the period 28 June 2024 to 2 August 2024.

About the plans and the project

The municipal planning supplement and local plan must enable a solar cell plant at Lavensby on Nordals and ensure that the solar cell plant gets a location and design that fits into the landscape, where natural and cultural historical interests are also taken into account.

The total project area is approx. 96 ha, of which a total of approx. 68 ha. In addition, there is an area for the technical area of ​​approx. 2 ha associated with the solar plant and an area reserved for Energinet's cable of approx. 1,5 ha, which is established in connection with the future Lillebælt Syd Windmill Park and thus is not related to the solar plant. The remaining areas of approx. 25 ha is used for various nature and outdoor activities.
