The house Konkel is a temporary rehabilitation training offer for young people aged 18 to 30 with reduced physical and / or mental functioning.

The primary group of young people at Huset Konkel has a need for training in general daily living (ADL) in order to master everyday life as well as development / training of social skills.

Young people who are addicted to alcohol or drugs cannot be offered accommodation at Huset Konkel.

Huset Konkel is located close to the forest and within walking distance to Gråsten center, where there are good shopping opportunities. There are good public transport links by bus and train.

How to live at Huset Konkel?

The rehabilitation training offer is spread over 3 floors with homes on the ground floor as well as on the 1st floor and staff office and laundry room in the basement. The physical framework consists of:

  • 10 two-bedroom apartments with living room, bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette
  • 2 one-bedroom apartments with living room, bathroom and kitchenette
  • Shared common / living room and kitchen on each floor
  • Workshop and laundry room in the basement
  • A larger outdoor area with terrace for shared use
How is everyday life at Huset Konkel?

The young residents must actively contribute to all daily chores, and there is a focus on independence and responsibility for themselves and the community. The staff supports and guides the young people in everyday life.

The young people must be able to cope at night without staff, but there will be the opportunity for calls.

The staff group consists of educators.
